Question:

Hello, I just have some questions regarding deed restrictions and which is the best option to research these restrictions?

Thanks in advance,

Joe

Answer:

Joe,

Deed restrictions come in various forms.  Many are found in the property deed language.  Others are in the condo or homeowner’s association (if one exists) governing documents.  Some are statutory and/or in the form of public utility easements or conservation easements.

The best way to search for ALL restrictions is to use the Abstract Service and make that exact request.  They will give you a quote within a matter of days and one of our abstractors will perform that search and produce a report for you.

Thank you for your interest and inquiry.  Please let us know if you have questions or need more information.

Thank you,
Jeannie B.
