Question:
Hi,
Thanks for your reply. Is your title report as comprehensive with all the details as a title report I’d get from a title company? What’s your title search process? I’m interested in your Full Chain of Title Report. Is your report the same and as comprehensive as what I would get through a title company?
Answer:
Stacy,
Please see the description listed for our Full Chain of Title and Preliminary Title (aka Complete Records Package) reports. You may want to then compare that with a description provided by a title company or agency.
Generally, a preliminary title report reflects ownership, liens/encumbrances and other exceptions to title. The information is obtained from recorded documents that affect the property. All preliminary reports, whether obtained through U.S. Title Records or another title company are for research purposes and do not come with title insurance.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.
Thank you,
Mark S.
