The public may view grantor and grantee indexes online, and search indexes back to February 21, 1883. The Clerk and Recorder’s Office has digitized all its property records and made them accessible online at the Document Search website.
Accessing Deeds and Property Documents
Recording Fees and Changes
Effective July 1, 2025, all Colorado recording fees will change to a set fee of $43 per document. This represents a significant change from the previous fee structure.
Historical Recording Fees (Before July 1, 2025):
- $13 for the first page of all recorded documents
- $5.00 for each additional page ($10.00 for each additional page on documents larger than legal size)
- Documentary fee: $.05 per $500 dollars of applicable sales consideration
Document Copy Fees
Copies are $0.25 per page, while emailed documents incur a $1 per page fee in addition to standard copy rates. Copied documents up to tabloid size (11″ x 17″) are $3 per page, while larger copies are $6. All copied documents can be certified for $1 per record.
