Boulder County Public Search Portal for Recorded Documents
The Boulder County Clerk & Recorder operates a Public Search portal that provides access to recorded documents including deeds, liens, and other real estate records. The system offers free watermarked images for viewing, downloading, and printing, while non-watermarked copies can be ordered for a small fee.

The Recording Division provides document types, recording information, grantor and grantee names, and legal descriptions through this online portal. Nearly 10 million records dating back to 1860 are accessible through this system.
Boulder County Property Search System for Assessment Records

Lien Search and Mechanics Lien Information
Boulder County accepts mechanics liens and other lien documents for recording. The county has specific requirements for lien filings, including proper formatting, correct payment amounts, and adherence to Colorado state law.
Recording fees are $13 for the first page of all recorded documents and $5.00 for each additional page ($10.00 for documents larger than legal size). A documentary fee of $0.05 per $500 of applicable sales consideration also applies.

Document Copy Fees and Ordering Process
Copy Fees:
- Record copies: $0.25 per page
- Certified copy of recorded document: $1.00
- Digital copy of plat via email: $2.00 per sheet
Document copies can be obtained in person, by phone, by mail, or online. When requesting copies by mail, include your name, phone number, mailing address, document type, reception number, type of copy requested, payment, and postage or self-addressed stamped envelope.
Important Access Notes
All documents should have a top margin of at least 1 inch, with left, right, and bottom margins of at least 0.5 inch. Documents must be written or typed legibly with dark ink to reproduce digitally.
