Client Question About The Details Of A Title Search

Client Question: About The Details Of A Title Search

Question:

Can you explain the details of your deed and title search?  I am the new POA of a lady that owned many properties across the USA.  She was a victim of elder abuse, embezzlement, and fraud.  The person that perpetrated this abuse has taken all of her records and sold many of her properties as well as bought properties in joint ownership so that he inherits the property upon her death. I have a need to find all of the properties that remain in her name or have her name attached as joint owner.  The states that I am sure of are, New York, Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, Tennessee, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma.  The properties may be listed in a trust name and/or 2 versions of her name, there were some misspellings of her first name.  Some may be recent (between 09/2021 and 10/2019) purchases or sales.

What would something like this cost and how long would it take?

Sincerely,

Rhonda G.

Answer:

Hi Rhonda,

Your inquiry was referred to me for handling.  You can order a Nationwide Title Search by Name.  Just make sure to email me directly all the different name variations and I will make sure we check each one including the name of the person who you believe has committed the fraud.  Below is the link.  Make sure to click on the dropdown box and select “nationwide.”  One state is $30 – nationwide search is $490.

Regarding the time frame.  We email the report results in PDF format within 24  hours, unless an issue comes up which is rare.  If that were to happen, I would let you know.

Please let me know if you have any questions or need more information.

Thank you,
